THANK YOU TO THE FANS!!!

You have been with me on such a crazy, wacky, wonderful journey all these years.

I really do relate to my roles on JEM.

I'm Jerrica Benton, business woman, creating and running all that goes on behind the scenes, wearing a million and one hats and pretending like I know what I'm doing.

Then I get to put on my makeup and hair, roll out my swagger in some sparkly heels, throw some glitter, crank the music and walk out on stage, much like Jem!!

As many in entertainment will tell you, this is a journey of huge peaks and valleys, feast and famine. It's not an industry for the faint of heart and you have to be in it for the long run.

You will encounter a ton of in your face rejection of your talent In a business that offers no real formula for success. You'll meet magical peers, your tribe who are walking the same path but also many Misfits and Eric Raymonds along the way who would just love to see you fail. Be ready to leap into the void, and take huge risks. It will require a ton of courage or crazy, maybe a little of both because you never know what is over the next horizon.

Be boundlessly in love with what you do like the deepest  most beautiful breath in your lungs, something "You literally CAN'T NOT do".

It is true for me and the one thing that has sustained me

and then there are YOU GUYS!!

I can't even begin to tell you what your love and encouragement has meant to me over the years, I'm so honored and grateful. My heart could burst sometimes, I'm incredibly humbled. It inspires me to wake up every day and keep creating, growing and sharing my gifts.

I wanted to have the following galleries on my website of some of my Truly Outrageous adventures over the last few years. I hope you may find yourself in some of the photos here and the ones yet to come.

Thank you,

You have my heart!!

Love always, Sam xo

I was watching the movie 'Summer Camp Nightmare' with you in it, and i had to look you up and find out what you were doing now. I saw a video interview of you on YouTube, and you mentioned having your own site, so i had to come here to check it out. I am a 52 year old male, and i loved Jem And The Holograms in the 80's during the 'Music Revolution'. It made a very big influence on me and i've been watching Jem on Netflix and i STILL love the show and music!! Thank you Samantha for being a part of my life and for giving me fond and great memories!!

Thank you Sam so much for this wonderful weekend. Polly and I got to see so much and experience a truly magnificent Hollywood tour. Now I'm typically a pretty quiet person, but I had such a blast taking it all in and had a smile on my face that did not leave until we landed in Chicago. We even got to see Michael Sheehan, the voice of Rio! The studio tour was fabulous. Meeting Dave Polich was quite an honor. As was meeting Nick, Dani, Ken, Mars, Sasha, Benjamin, Tiffany, Kate, and your music teacher from jr high! Listening to the tracks from your upcoming Hologram album was amazing. Your sound has evolved a bit from your earlier work and I love it! I hope this album is a commercial success that leads to bigger and better things musically for you. You deserve it soo much. I think I am even going to give watching the Jem movie a try. I was against at at first because it strayed drastically from the source material, but feeing all the love and positivity in the party bus has changed my mind. After all, the message of the original Jem series was one of love, friendship, and caring. Those are the exact same tenants of the people that make up the Jem universe, both inside the bus and for those whom are reading this now. Can't wait to see you again! Take care!

Well, I can check one of the bucket list - meeting Samantha Newark! My son and I were privileged enough to get to meet her at the Lebanon CC this weekend. So is what everyone says about her true? Does she make time for every fan? Is she as genuine as she appears on her Instagram, FB and Twitter feeds? Does she spread positivity, understanding, empathy, and carry a charm that could make even make Donald Trump see the error of his ways and drop out of the race? Yes everyone! She is all of the above. Newark is the real deal. I have a feeling that her new album will further reinforce the uplifting vibe that resonates from her personality. So please everyone go and buy something from her pledge music site. She is almost at 70%, but nothing happens until she reaches 100%. You guys know her b-day is the 27th of this month, right? Let's make the extra effort to give her an extra special present on her birthday - 100% funding. Want another reason to contribute to this endeavor? With all the crazy f'd up events happening in the world right now, Sam's message is needed more than ever. I truly believe this.

This is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! Just the other day I was wondering how Samantha has time and energy to connect with fans on such an intimate label, and then BAM! Today rolls around and on the pledge music site, she has like 10 million more things listed to share with fans. Even things like touring the music studio with her and being taken on a guided JEM tour of LA! Yeah, my birthday is coming up in a couple of days, so I got myself a few early birthday presents. Everyone reading this should go to the pledge music site and help Sam reach her goal. Indie artists need our help, especially super awesome ones that take the time and make the extra effort to keep the artist/fan connection strong.

Well, the lottery didn't pan out. But Sam, keep the artwork coming in. Where do you find the time to get stuff like that done? Each comic book cover must take the better part of at least a full day. How many other artists can connect with their fans on such a level? How many other artists would take the time to give something personally created like this to their fans? Keep it coming though. I can't wait to see what you come up with next! Giving so much to your fans makes you a superstar!

I just wanted to say how great it was to meet you at Little Rock comic con. You were so gracious and nice when you clearly didn't feel well (although you still looked great). I loved the way you spoke to the two young men,one who was diagnosed with Krohn's and his best friend. They were really were inspiring and I'm so glad I got to see that example of what friendship means during your panel and how heart felt and directly you spoke to them

Hello there, my name is Nico and I'm a songwriter/singer from the Bay Area who loves Jem. My best friend and I watch it all the time, and as 20 year old men, we're obsessed with the series! I wasn't around to see it when it was originally on, but it's been a huge influence on my music. I was born 10 years late but I'm very much a child of the 80s, and I wanted to thank you for being a part of something that's still inspiring people today! I know that you make music as well so it's nice that the people who love Jem, and in your case who were a part of it, always have things in common. Have a great day, Samantha - Nico
